"Fortified" has this stubborn, defiant tone, like holding a position you can't afford to lose. Nine tracks total, lean and focused. "Dark Time" brings the tension down to a slow, anxious simmer. "Distant Land" closes things out with a sense of scale that the genre demands.
Compact but convincing. Good background fuel for when you're three hours into a Civilization game and forgot to eat dinner.
