Somber, layered orchestration that sounds like a civilization unraveling in slow motion. Honkai: Star Rail's Allegory of the Cave Part 2 is the 2025 continuation and it goes darker than expected. "Touch of the Broken Blade" opens with fractured tension, strings cutting against each other.

"Coronation" rises with this heavy, ceremonial weight that feels earned and ominous at the same time. "Lament on Stream of Souls" is exactly what it sounds like, pure mourning set to music. The whole album leans philosophical.
Tracks like "Dusk of Rationality" and "Scattered Manuscripts" feel like wandering through a collapsing library. Then "Hymn of Dawn" breaks through with something almost hopeful. More restrained than Vol.1 but arguably more affecting.
For anyone who wants their RPG music to make them stare at the ceiling and think about mortality.
