Hoshigami: Ruining Blue Earth Special Soundtrack

2002 · Playstation

PS1-era orchestral synth with that classic JRPG gravity. Hoshigami: Ruining Blue Earth is a tactical RPG on PlayStation, and the soundtrack carries all the weight of warring kingdoms and fallen heroes. "Dark Clouds (Battlefield of the Mardias Continent)" sets the tone early with brooding militaristic march energy.

"Tower of Wind" opens up with something more adventurous, that vertical dungeon feeling. "Jacqueline's Pirate Crew Appears!" is a sudden burst of swagger in the middle of all the seriousness. "Requiem (The Repose of Souls)" goes the other direction entirely, quiet and heavy.

The PS1 sound chip gives everything that slightly grainy texture that just works for this kind of fantasy warfare. For anyone who loves early 2000s SRPG soundtracks and wants one they probably missed.
