Light, breezy J-pop with a gentle electronic pulse underneath. Houkago Cinderella 2 picks up where the first left off but feels slightly more confident, with tracks like NEW STEP and Funny days adding a bit more bounce to the formula.
The instrumental work stays warm and inviting throughout. Black Jack shifts the energy into something moodier and more tense. Then tracks with titles that translate to things like "warm feelings by your side" and "the future reflected in your eyes" bring it right back to cozy territory.
The closing track title roughly translates to "tie them, open them, spread your wings." That kind of earnestness runs through everything here. Good pick for anyone who liked the first Houkago Cinderella soundtrack and wants more of that gentle, optimistic feeling.
