Inferno - The Odyssey Continues

1994 · Windows

Crunchy early-90s PC synth that sounds like it is being beamed from another planet. Inferno: The Odyssey Continues is a 1994 Windows adventure game, and the soundtrack captures that DOS-era charm perfectly. "Moon Toon" has this bouncy, almost cartoonish energy that sticks with you.

"Human Installation" leans into ambient territory with warm pads and slow builds. Then "Alien Atmosphere" flips the script into something dark and alien. The bonus remixes at the end are a treat. The Lunarphases Mix of "Moon Toon" and the Dreamscape Mix of "Planet 2" stretch the originals into longer, weirder shapes.

There is a clear divide between the "Happy" and "Sad" tracks that maps directly onto the game's branching paths. Worth checking out if you are into the sound of mid-90s PC games before everything went CD quality.
