Seven tracks, all named after one character. Kanon's anthology CD 2 is dedicated entirely to Sawatari Makoto, one of the most heartbreaking arcs in visual novel history. The arrangements cycle through her emotional range, from playful and mischievous early tracks to something much heavier by the end.
"Sawatari Makoto 01" starts bright, almost comedic. By "Sawatari Makoto 05" the tone has shifted completely, carrying the weight of what's coming. This is a character study told entirely through music. Seven versions of one girl's story, each arrangement peeling back another layer.
No vocals, no dialogue needed. For anyone who played Kanon and still thinks about that fox in the snow, this will wreck you all over again.
