Kichiku Megane's Contrast CD dropped in 2008 and frames its songs around light/dark duality right in the title. White Light answers with something softer and more vulnerable. Contrast itself merges both energies into a single track, and it actually works. The drama segments between songs give it narrative flow. Having instrumental versions of all three songs is a smart move.
They strip away the vocals and let you hear how solid the compositions are underneath. If you want to hear visual novel characters step outside their game and actually sing with conviction, this disc is worth the time.
