"My Trembling Heart" captures that fragile energy perfectly. "As Your Junior and As Your Younger Sister" sets up the emotional stakes right away, establishing Akane's complicated position in the story. "The Whereabouts of My Tears" is exactly as devastating as it sounds.
The disc closes with an acoustic version of "Passion ~ Rumbling Hearts" that strips the iconic theme down to something raw. Eight tracks. Each one pulling at a different thread of Akane's arc. The early 2000s PC audio quality gives everything this intimate, close feeling.
If Akane was your pick and you need to feel vindicated about it, this disc gets it.
