Ambient, echoey, strange. Like sound bouncing off cave walls in slow motion. Knytt Underground is Nifflas' 2013 indie platformer, and the soundtrack matches its underground world perfectly. "The Murder Mystery of The Crystal Dolphin Unicorn" is a real track name and it somehow delivers on the promise, all shimmering textures and mystery.

"Fire Resistance is Awkward for Obvious Reasons" plays it moody and contemplative. "Amazing Sandwiches" is lighter, almost playful, a breath of air between darker stretches. The whole thing drifts between atmospheric drones and melodic moments.
"Please Exist, I'd Appreciate It" and "Ride The Train to Denmark" have that specific indie game energy where the title is half the experience. Nothing here rushes you. Put this on when you want to feel like you're exploring something vast and quiet and a little bit odd.
