"Kyle is Lowkey" keeps things understated while "Kyle is Smooth" adds some swagger. Then out of nowhere "Terrifying Mush Monsters" shows up and you realize this game goes places. "Balthazar's Theme" has a weight to it that the earlier tracks don't prepare you for.
The bonus tracks include stuff like "Carnival Music" and "Festival Music" that feel like location-specific background pieces. Short album, weird range. If you want a soundtrack that refuses to commit to a single tone and is better for it, give Kyle his fifteen minutes.
