"Maelstrom of Battles" is the main combat theme and it absolutely rips, with driving percussion and urgent strings. "Rosefall" is one of those quietly devastating story tracks that sneaks up on you. "A Weekend for Shopping" brings welcome levity with a bouncy town theme, and "Don't Let the Machine Escape!"
has an urgency in both its title and composition that makes you feel the stakes of whatever chase sequence it scores. "The Ice-Shaped Witch" layers in this crystalline menace that perfectly characterizes a boss encounter.
"The Dictator's Force" and "Black Flames" push into the late-game darkness with heavy, oppressive arrangements that signal the stakes are real now. "Demise of D" closes the tracklist with finality. The range from the cheerful "Everyone, Good Luck" to the dread of "Into the Darkest Depths" shows a composer who understood how to match every narrative beat.
Luminous Arc 2 might be underseen, but this score deserves to be heard.
