"Zophar Appears" is pure dread, and when it comes back as "Zophar's Revival" later in the tracklist, the stakes are written into every note. Between those two pillars of menace, you get "Holy City Pentagulia" with its sacred grandeur, "Carnival" as a playful breather, and "Lucia's Descent ~ Sorrowful Memories" delivering the kind of heartbreak Lunar does better than almost any JRPG series.
"Zophar vs Lucia ~The Last Battle~" goes absolutely all out, and then "Parting" guts you before "ETERNAL BLUE ~Eternal Sentiment~" closes with that vocal performance that defined an era.
