"Wing for Love" and "All Tomorrow" both appear in original full versions and game-shortened edits, letting you hear how the compositions were adapted for gameplay. "An Hour of Peace" and "Nellie's Room" establish this gentle domestic warmth before the tone shifts hard with "SUDDEN ATTACK" and "Evil Message."
The contrast works because the quieter tracks earn their space. "In the Forbidden Forest" has this uneasy, creeping atmosphere, while "Blue Moon Fragment" opens up into something vast and sorrowful. "Until Exhaustion" is exactly as intense as the name suggests.
The structural tracks tell a story even without the game. PROLOGUE to EPILOGUE, DEFEAT to EVACUATION to CONGRATULATION. "To the End of Sadness" and "Seeking Tomorrow" carry genuine emotional weight, and "A Myth Named Hope" ties the whole thing together with its vocal arrangement.
A forgotten PS1 soundtrack that deserved a bigger audience.
