"SORCER STRIKER" kicks off Stage 1 with a driving tempo that immediately tells you this isn't a leisurely fantasy romp. "RIOT DANCE" is the standout, a track so good they named the album version after it, pulsing with rhythmic urgency that perfectly matches dodging curtains of bullets.
"ORGANIC METAL" lives up to its name with heavy, grinding riffs pushed through arcade hardware. The boss themes hit especially hard: "EXCLAIM TARGETS" and "ROCK THE ACCEPT" escalate the tension exactly when you need that extra focus.
The clever trick of the final stage medley, cycling back through earlier boss themes as the difficulty ramps to its peak, is brilliant game music design. "MEMORIAL FRAGMENT" offers a brief moment of melancholy beauty before everything goes loud again.
Essential listening for anyone who thinks arcade sound chips peaked before the mid-90s.
