Tomoyuki Nakamura's "maimai chan" is the kind of impossibly catchy character theme that gets stuck in your head for days, while Hiro's "Urban Crusher [Remix]" pivots into aggressive, beat-driven territory that feels way more intense than a washing machine-shaped arcade cabinet has any right to deliver.
The real standout is Hiro's "DADDY MULK -Groove remix-" closing the album. Taking the classic Takenobu Mitsuyoshi vocal track and reworking it into a full-length groove remix is a bold move that absolutely pays off. Ryohei Kohno's "Dogs" gets the luxury of both a regular and full version, and the full cut lets that funky bassline really stretch out.
Karaoke versions round out the disc for anyone brave enough to try singing along to Dekoboko Taisou No.2 at home. The whole package is a love letter to SEGA's in-house composers having fun with their own catalog. If you're deep into the maimai ecosystem, this is the volume where it feels like the team stopped holding back.
