Seven unnamed tracks, likely pulled from key moments in the game, which leans heavily on orchestral arrangements that evoke overgrown ruins and forgotten magic. The game's score was built around the relationship between the small, scrappy protagonist and the towering Majin, and the music reflects that contrast.
Sweeping, grand passages give way to intimate, quieter moments that underscore the unlikely friendship at the heart of the story. The orchestration has a storybook quality, somewhere between Ico and a Studio Ghibli film.
As a seven-track sampler rather than a complete OST, this feels like a highlight reel, the kind of disc that came bundled with a preorder or special edition. If the full score ever surfaces, it deserves more attention. Game Republic closed its doors not long after this released, making this one of their final musical statements.
