A fan-made DS Mario Kart project from 2014 with an original soundtrack that's genuinely impressive in scope. The course names alone tell you someone was thinking big: "Candy Land," "Chomp Garden," "Heaven Hell," "Frozen Flipper," and "Night Night City" are all original concepts that sound like they belong in an official Mario Kart entry.

Alongside these sit retro throwbacks like "GBA Bowser Castle 1," "N64 Mario Circuit," "GB Mario Land," and "GCN Rainbow," building out a proper cross-generation cup structure. "Ancient Lake" borrows Diddy Kong Racing's most beloved course name while "Dry Dry Desert" and "Dry Dry Ruins" pull from the Mario Kart DS and Wii well.
"Kartville" and "Elmeber Circuit" bring that original course charm where you can tell the creator was building their own Mario Kart universe from scratch. "Crystal Rock" and "Ice Oce Clock" fill the ice-world quota with what are presumably sparkly, crystalline DS synth arrangements.
The infrastructure tracks show how complete this project is. There's a "Course Flyover" theme, "Final Lap Fanfare," "GP and VS Fanfare," "New Character and Vehicles Unlocked" jingle, even a dedicated "Nintendo WFC and Local Multiplayer Menu" track.
That's the kind of detail that separates a serious fan project from a quick reskin. "Rainbow Road" gets its own original take, and "Credits" means someone saw this through to the finish line. A love letter to Mario Kart built on DS hardware with a full original score.
