The track feels like you're weaving through alien vendors and shady deals, brass stabs mingling with synth textures that drip with otherworldly character. "Mantlo's Bar" is a standout -- named after Bill Mantlo, co-creator of Rocket Raccoon -- and it nails that dingy space cantina atmosphere where anything could kick off at any moment.
The mood shifts hard once "Showdown with Lipless" drops, delivering the kind of punchy, urgent combat scoring that made the game's battles feel so cinematic. There's real craft in how the tension escalates through that track.
Closing out with "The Huddle" ties everything back to the heart of the game: the team dynamic. That track mirrors those mid-battle pep talk moments where you rally the squad, and musically it swells with the kind of heroic warmth that defined this version of the Guardians.
A tight, focused release that captures one memorable slice of a much larger journey.
