Valshion!!" and the result is a grab bag of FM synth charm and early digital audio that captures the personality of a studio that clearly did not take itself too seriously. The track names are a trip. You have got "恐怖のもぐらたたき" (Whack-a-Mole of Terror), "男を喰らう" (Devouring Men), "銭よこせ" (Give Me Money), and "伝説の美少女はるのちゃん" (The Legendary Beautiful Girl Haruno-chan).
Each one is exactly as weird as it sounds. "午後のお茶" (Afternoon Tea) is pleasant and calm, then "夜も低血圧" (Low Blood Pressure Even at Night) drifts into something drowsy and strange. The two logo themes bookend different games in the collection, giving it an anthology feel.
"AfterDream" is a surprisingly tender piece buried in the middle, and "ミミィ死亡" (Mimi's Death) is exactly the dramatic gut-punch that name implies. This is deep-cut PC-98 doujin territory -- the kind of thing you stumble across and realize an entire world of small Japanese game studios existed that most people never heard of.
