Minecraft: Chinese Mythology Soundtrack

2016 · PS Vita, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Nintendo Wii U

"Chang'an" sets this serene overworld mood, then the battle tracks like "Sun Wukong" and "Zhu Bajie" bring real percussive energy that the base game never touches. "Hotan Ruins" and "Maijishan Grotto" make the Nether sound ancient instead of hellish.

"Terracotta Army" for The End is genuinely imposing. The overworld tracks cycle through mountain temples and hanging monasteries with a sense of scale Minecraft's usual ambience doesn't attempt. If you skipped the mashup packs, this one deserved better than being buried in DLC.
