Forty-plus tracks alternating between story setups and boss fights, and somehow the boss themes never blur together. "El Dorado" goes full cinematic adventure mode, "Angel Scream" hits with this desperate intensity, and "Wandering Phantom" gets genuinely eerie.

The battle themes (all titled "Gekitou!") each adapt to their opponent, from the chocolate-themed Valentine's boss to a beach angel called "Beachikun." Between fights, tracks like "Dare mo Inai Kodomo Beya" (an empty children's room) get unexpectedly melancholic.
The fishing theme is absurdly cheerful. This soundtrack commits fully to its weird premise of girls on trains fighting monsters, and that sincerity carries every track. Worth it just to hear how many different ways they score a boss entrance.
