Misty Blue

1991 · PC-88, PC-98, SNES

Then you hit "Boss fight" and "Minotaur" and the chip channels start screaming. "Blood Pool~Casandora" is as intense as it sounds. "Don't You Know That" and "Hold me tonight" lean into city pop territory with those characteristic FM bass tones.

"Seven Demons" and "Space Fight" go fully apocalyptic by the end. The tonal whiplash between tender romance and dungeon horror is wild. If you love early 90s Japanese PC sound design, this is a fascinating grab bag.
