The character themes here hit way harder than they have any right to. Seimei's Theme and Raikou's Theme both carry this weight that tells you exactly who these people are before you've read a single line of dialogue. The battle tracks go full dramatic, "Undulation of the Soul" and "The Devil King's Decisive Battle" pulling out layered intensity that builds and builds.
"The Moon Blooming in the Night Sky" is genuinely beautiful. Quiet and patient. Then you've got tracks like "Clatter Thud" and "Workman's Visit" grounding you in daily life before everything gets mythological again. The whole thing bounces between peaceful Heian-era atmosphere and spiritual warfare.
If you like Japanese folklore wrapped in expressive orchestral scoring, just press play already.
