Lo-fi, deadpan indie game music that narrates the world's most honest one-night stand. Modern Rituals is a 2017 Windows title and the track titles alone tell you everything. "Saw you at Walmart" sets the tone with this flat, observational vibe, "OMG we like the same shitty music" has a warmth buried under layers of irony, and "Let us have consensual intercourse" is somehow both the funniest and most uncomfortably earnest track title in any game soundtrack.

The whole thing reads like a short story in nine chapters. From "Feeling mildly infatuated" through "Think I made a mistake" to the gut punch of "Already forgot your name." Barely any pretense, just awkward modern romance compressed into an album.
