"うめよそだてよ" (Breed and Raise) is pure nostalgic ranch life energy, the seasonal themes rotate through summer brightness and winter chill with that unmistakable late-90s keyboard warmth, and the escalating tournament fanfares from single trumpet to full brass are genuinely clever.
The battle tracks tier up beautifully. "始めの一戦" (The First Battle) is modest, but by the time you hit "極みの果てに" (Beyond the Pinnacle) the intensity has completely transformed. The emotional range catches you off guard too.
"鎮魂歌" (Requiem) and "光につつまれて" (Wrapped in Light) for when your monster passes away will absolutely wreck you. "がびーん" for defeat and "やったね!" for victory are pure PS1 charm. If you ever raised a monster from a CD, watched it grow old, and felt actual grief when it retired, this soundtrack is the reason those feelings still hit.
