"Blue Caves" has this shimmering, reverbed quality that makes you want to explore every pixel of the map. "Champion Battle" ramps up with driving percussion and urgent leads that actually make turn-based combat feel tense.
Then "Blob Burg" exists and it's exactly as silly and endearing as it sounds. The area themes do real work here, each biome getting its own identity. "Magma Caverns" brings heat with distorted bass, "Snowy Peaks" cools everything down with crystalline tones.
Including original versions of reworked tracks is a nice touch. If you've been sleeping on indie monster-taming games, this soundtrack will make you stop sleeping immediately.
