Moon Hunters

2016 · Linux, MacOS, Playstation 4, Switch

Lush, mythological scoring that turns a co-op roguelike into a campfire legend. Moon Hunters' 2016 soundtrack by Hyperduck Soundworks builds this ancient, starlit world across every track. "Night Sky" opens with the kind of reverent strings and choral hints that make you feel small under something vast.

"Sand Travellers" shifts into dusty, percussive territory that matches the desert biome perfectly, and "Rapid Overgrowth" goes thick with layered organic textures for the jungle areas. The contrast between exploration and combat tracks is sharp.

"Outsiders at the Inn" gives you this warm, safe tavern feeling before "Uprising" and "Crescendo" throw you into desperate fights with real orchestral weight. "Northern Lights" is the one that stays with you though. This shimmering, cold, beautiful thing that sounds like staring up at something you can't explain.

"Slumber in Song" and "Slumber in Stillness" bookend rest in two different emotional colors. If you've played co-op at midnight and wanted the music to match how that feels, Moon Hunters already wrote the soundtrack for it.
