Then "Early Birds" does something wild, transitioning from tubular bells into a school bell motif that bridges the game's modern and mythological worlds. "fiction of meta fiction" carries the modern town scenes with an almost contemplative energy that shouldn't work in a demon-hunting RPG but absolutely does.
"Wild Dance of Horror" turns battles into frantic, percussion-driven chaos, and "Monster's Illusion" gives the soul demons their own crawling, paranoid theme. "Revelation of the Goddess" into "A Century of Exhaustion" is a two-part shrine sequence that builds from reverence to despair.
The SNES sound chip handles the layered arrangements with surprising clarity. If you thought 16-bit RPG soundtracks peaked with the usual suspects, Madara 2 will make you reconsider that list.
