"You Are The Mushroom Man Now DAWG" has this sludgy swagger that no 2008 Wii game had any business having. "Turbo Mole Battle" cranks the tempo for boss fights with distorted riffs that feel homemade in the best way. "Refined In Dub" takes a hard left into dub reggae territory, which somehow fits.
The track names alone tell you nobody was taking this too seriously. "Chainsawd The Kudzu," "IceCream Slayers," "Total Pumpkin Style"... If you missed this oddball Wii-era platformer, the soundtrack alone makes a case for why people still talk about it.
