"First Step Towards Wars" trades FM synth for a driving rock arrangement that absolutely rips, "To Make the End of Battle" gets this layered treatment with screaming electric guitar over lush pads, and the harmonica version of "Feena" is so tender it barely feels like the same series.
"Palace of Destruction" and "Holders of Power" hit harder with real instrument samples pushing the drama. The inclusion of both Ys I and II tracks gives you the full saga in one sitting. Every rearrangement respects the original melody while pushing it somewhere new.
If you played the PC-88 versions and want to hear those same songs given a full studio treatment, this is the definitive upgrade.
