Bright, upbeat electronic pop that flips the energy from MXM's other Vita single on its head. "Upside Down" is a 2016 track with a lighter, bouncier feel than its companion release S.C.M.L. The original mix rides on airy synths and an infectious vocal melody that leans more pop than club.
The remix pushes the tempo and adds harder-edged production, giving it that late-night dancefloor treatment. Then the instrumental version reveals just how layered the backing track is, synth pads and rhythm programming doing a lot of work you might miss under the vocals.
Same three-version format, same attention to giving each mix its own identity. It works as a companion piece to S.C.M.L or completely on its own. If you liked the polish of the other Vita single but wanted something with more daylight in it, this is the flip side.
