mY iNSiDe

1996 · PC-98

Three tracks. One song in three forms: original, arranged, and karaoke. PC-98 era, 1996, and the alternating caps in the title give it that mid-90s aesthetic. The arrange version takes the original composition and expands it, letting you hear what the composer wanted versus what the hardware could deliver.

The karaoke version strips the vocals for anyone brave enough to sing along. Three versions of one song is the most concentrated character study a single release can offer. PC-98 music carries that specific FM synthesis warmth that nothing else replicates.

If you collect PC-98 vocal singles, mY iNSiDe is three perspectives on one composition from a platform that deserves more attention.
