The Old Hell and Former Hell tracks bring this moody heat that flips the cozy formula on its head. 血池地狱-吞天噬地 is genuinely menacing, all churning intensity for a cooking game of all things (and they included three rejected drafts so you can hear them iterate on that darkness).

The Youkai Mountain set opens things up with 妖怪之山-一览众小, this breezy peak-of-the-world feeling. Then the cooking contest arc with 料理大赛-一将功成 delivers a payoff that hits way harder than expected. Three bonus alternate versions tucked at the end too.
Worth it just to hear how far a Touhou fan game soundtrack can stretch.
