Happy Shiny Stage!!! keeps that high going with pure feel-good production. But then you hit tracks like 沙夜の闇 and 沙夜の脅迫 and the mood drops hard, tense strings and minor keys that feel genuinely threatening. That contrast between the stage performance tracks and the story BGM is jarring in the best way.
Including both vocal and instrumental versions of the main songs is a nice touch too. If you like idol games that aren't afraid to get dark between the dance numbers, the music here tells that story perfectly.
