ok hear me out. A National Geographic panda game for the DS has absolutely no business having music this cute and well-structured. The soundtrack follows a full day cycle with title sounds for morning, noon, evening, night, and late night, each with a slightly different mood built from the DS sound chip.

"ふるさとの森" (Hometown Forest) has this peaceful little melody that genuinely relaxes you. "ママの子守唄" is a lullaby that works as an actual lullaby. The karaoke version of the main theme exists and it's hilarious. "夜の森" gets surprisingly atmospheric for a kids' game.
The whole thing is cozy and earnest. If you ever wanted proof that even the most obscure DS games got real musical attention, here it is.
