This thing rips from the first second. Neo XYX is a homebrew shmup for Dreamcast and Neo Geo, and the soundtrack goes way harder than it needs to for a nine-track album. "Armed and Clawed" kicks off Stage 1 with driving FM-style synths that feel straight out of a late-era Genesis shooter.

"Watership Down" shifts into something more atmospheric mid-game, almost moody. Then "Tigers vs. Steel Dragons" for Stage 5 just throws everything at you, full throttle arcade energy. The boss theme "Climax" earns its name honestly.
Tight, aggressive, no filler. "Glorious" cools everything down for the ending in a way that actually feels earned. If you play shmups for the adrenaline, this soundtrack completely delivers.
