Piano keys falling like snow. North Wind is a DreamSoft visual novel, and composer Manack built this entire two-disc soundtrack around winter and longing. "Snowy Landscape" is just sparse piano over silence and it hits harder than it should.

"Faint Hopes" carries this ache that sits right at the edge of melancholy without tipping over. The three versions of "On the Flow of a Long Moment" are the real centerpiece though, going from a stripped piano solo to a full arrangement with bass and drums that completely transforms the mood.
"Christmas" is bittersweet in a way that actually earns it. If you play VNs for the quiet emotional moments, this soundtrack is basically made of them.
