Nubarron: the adventure of an unlucky gnome Original Soundtrack

2020 · Linux, MacOS, Windows

Plucked strings and woodwinds float through misty forest air like something out of a storybook you half-remember. Rodrigo Caro scored Nubarron, a puzzle platformer about a gnome who loses his hat to a sentient storm cloud, and the music carries that same gentle absurdity.

Missing Hat opens with this wistful, searching quality that sets the tone perfectly. The Cave drops into darker, echoey territory with dripping reverb, while Alambu Gliding opens up into something bright and weightless. There's Something Wrong With the Forest does exactly what the title promises, bending the folksy palette into unease.

The four elemental bonus tracks from the demo feel like a little world-building epilogue. If you want a soundtrack that feels like wandering through an illustrated children's book with teeth, this is it.
