The third Phantom X volume gets weird in the best way. "Blooming Villain -X-" reimagines one of P5's most iconic boss themes with enough new texture to justify its existence. "Pheromone Cocoons" is dripping with this sultry, almost dangerous energy, and the intro version builds into it perfectly.

"Last Surprise -spring festival-" is the kind of seasonal rearrangement that shouldn't work but absolutely does. Then you get curveballs like "Frostbloom Vow" and the French-titled "Etoile en Embrasse" pushing into theatrical territory.
"Ravenbill Requiem" goes dark. "I Fight what I Fear" goes personal. The Japanese track title sitting in the middle of all this English is somehow charming. If Phantom X's music keeps escalating like this, the main series should be nervous.
