Something is deeply wrong with this music and that's exactly the point. Petscop's soundtrack sounds like a PS1 game that doesn't want you playing it. "Level1" and "Level2" start with this uncanny, slightly off-key cheerfulness, the kind of melody that makes you check behind you.
Then tracks like "bathroom-tomb" and "girl-world" drop any pretense of normalcy, just unsettling ambient tones that sit in your chest. "Birthday" manages to be genuinely sad underneath all the creepiness. "Driving" loops with this hollow, mechanical quality.
Even the SFX tracks feel intentional and wrong. The whole thing captures internet horror at its most effective. Perfect companion listening if you're deep into ARG rabbit holes at midnight.
