This soundtrack sounds like the Dreamcast trying to describe outer space with a vocabulary it barely has, and somehow nailing it. "Mother Earth of Dishonesty" (both parts) builds this tense, echoing atmosphere that sits right between ambient electronica and something more sinister.

"Growl, from the Depths of the Earth" is exactly what it sounds like. Heavy, low, oppressive. Then "The Crazy Program" shows up and just goes off. The way the score shifts from contemplative lobby music to full dungeon panic is so well paced.
"Pioneer2" still feels like arriving somewhere important for the first time. If you played PSO and never sat with the soundtrack on its own, you owe yourself that.
