Cave's cute-em-up with an all-girl cast gets a score that's way more intense than the candy-colored visuals suggest. The Italian track titles are a wild touch. "Mama! Ora va!" (Stage 1) opens with driving rock energy, and the boss themes split between sky and ground battles with "Drago blu" bringing aerial tension.

Stage themes escalate beautifully, "Funzioni con esso!" (Stage 5) pushing the tempo hard before "Ale che non cadono" (Stage 6) layers in desperation. The true last boss theme "Uccello rosso" goes absolutely feral. Classic mid-2000s arcade sound design, that perfect blend of synth rock and melodic hooks that Cave nailed every time.
