"Patrolling" loops with a steady, procedural calm that actually sounds like a shift. "Marie's Assault" and "Marie's Music Box" hit different emotional registers, one tense and clinical, the other devastatingly personal. "The Warehouse" and "The Murder Scene" lean into genuine dread with minimal instrumentation.
"Old Nugget Saloon" breaks the tension with barroom warmth. "Steve Rocklin Highway Pursuit" gets the adrenaline right with cascading synth runs. The whole soundtrack treats police work as both mundane and horrifying, which is exactly what PQ3 was going for.
