"Empty Heart" does exactly what you think it does. "lamplighter" by Yisoch carries a delicate glow, and its piano arrangement strips it down even further. "Beckoning Forest" from Hayashi builds something mysterious without resorting to obvious tricks.
Naoe's "Yukijiro no Shashu" (Snow White Archer) has a crystalline precision to it. "into deep" and "Engraving of my soul" push into darker, more searching territory. If the main Vocaloid tracks are the fireworks, this collection is the night sky behind them.
