Kenji Ito brought his Romancing SaGa energy straight into a match-three RPG and somehow it fits perfectly. Puzzle & Dragons Z sounds way more epic than a 3DS puzzle game has any right to, with orchestral battle themes that escalate like you're fighting actual gods.

"Battle -Lightning Gale-" rips through with urgent strings and pounding percussion, while "Decisive Battle!!" layers brass over driving rhythm in classic Ito fashion. The dungeon themes shift between mysterious and menacing depending on location.
"Skydragon Sanctuary" has this ethereal quality that makes you forget you're just sliding colored orbs around. The final battle theme alone is worth the listen if you've ever loved JRPG boss music.
