Chiyomaru Shikura and Tomoyuki Hamada stacked this vocal collection from the PS2 visual novel Que with eleven tracks that hit way harder than typical VN character songs. "Fractal Tree" opens with this driving energy that immediately sets it apart, Shikura's composition layering synths and vocals into something genuinely catchy.

"Beside the Dream" slows things down into fragile territory, the kind of track that makes you stare at a ceiling. "Illusionary Night" sits in this moody middle ground between pop and atmospheric. Then "Everlasting Sky" closes it all out with the kind of big, hopeful vocal swell that mid-2000s anime music did better than anyone.
The arrangements by Koji Ueno and Yoichi Sakai keep things polished but never sterile. A surprisingly solid vocal album from a game most people never played.
