Bright J-pop character songs crashing into surprisingly nuanced BGM. Parasol's visual novel QUINTUPLE SPLASH pairs each heroine with her own vocal theme, and the opening "hot splash!" sets a sugar-rush tempo that never really lets up across the character tracks.
But then the background music hits different. "Or Aru Asa no Hikari" opens with this gentle morning piano that feels like sunlight through curtains, and "TOBALI in the night" drops into a cooler, moodier register with understated synth work.
The instrumental side carries real range, from the anxious trembling of "Futei Tremolo" to the bittersweet closer "Feine." Worth it for the BGM alone if you like composers who actually understand dynamics between scenes.
