Rez Infinite, the synesthetic rail shooter originally designed by Tetsuya Mizuguchi, builds its entire soundtrack around the idea that your inputs become the music. "Buggie Running Beeps" layers bleepy arpeggios over a four-on-the-floor kick that thickens as you lock onto enemies, while "Fear" drops into darker breakbeat territory for the Area 05 boss gauntlet.

The Area X additions are where things get transcendent though. "Butterfly Effect" floats on ambient pads and vocal harmonics that feel weightless compared to the pulsing techno of the original areas. Pure sensory overload in the best way.
