Robyn Miller's original Riven score was already this deeply atmospheric, almost uncomfortably patient thing, and the 2024 remaster makes it feel even more present. The expanded album adds seven new compositions alongside remastered originals, and Miller's style hasn't lost that quality of sounding like the environment itself is humming.

"Atrus' Theme" remains haunting in the best way. "Moeity Caves" creates this sense of sacred, hidden space that you can practically feel the dampness of. "Our Final Meeting in the Hive" is new material that slots in seamlessly.
The whole soundtrack treats silence as an instrument. If you've ever stared at a Myst-era puzzle for forty minutes, this is the sound your brain was marinating in.
