This soundtrack goes way harder than it has any right to. CODEPINK's score for SEXFRIEND bounces between moody late-night synths and surprisingly punchy arrangements. "Song of a Dark Road" has this full vocal version that hits like a proper J-rock ballad, completely out of nowhere.
Then you get tracks like "Let's Take It Easy" doing this warm, low-key groove thing while "It's Tense" flips the whole mood with nervous energy. That Beat Punk live remix at the end though. "At the Corner of Night" and "Little Nostalgic Melody" bring genuine emotional weight with soft piano lines that feel almost too sincere for this kind of game.
If you dig early 2000s Japanese PC game music with actual personality, this one delivers.
